A festive fall drink that’s simple, refreshing, and crowd-pleasing!
Autumn Harvest Punch
I don't know about you but I love making a swoon worthy drink for special occasions. It is just something about a pitcher full of goodness that really sets the mood. This punch is similar to one we served at my sister's wedding years ago. This recipe takes everyday juices to a new level of flavor. This recipe comes together in just minutes, balances sweet and tart with apple, pear, orange, and cranberry flavors giving it a festive feel. Plus, it's kid-friendly, yet simple enough to serve when friends drop by or for holiday prep.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Yes, since it is a garnish you can use any apple that is in season. For a little extra zing, add a cinnamon stick with the apple slices.
Can I make an adult version?
Absolutely, for an adult version, you could float a splash of spiced rum or bourbon in each glass or add to the pitcher —but keep a non-alcoholic version for the kids.
Can I make ahead to ease party stress?
Yes, to make it ahead: Mix all the juices except the soda, refrigerate, then add the soda and fruit slices just before serving so the soda stays bubbly.
What is the best container to put this punch in?
You can use a pitcher, a bigger glass or plastic drink dispenser, or a punch bowl.
1 (64 oz) bottle apple juice 12 oz frozen orange juice concentrate
16 oz (half of a 32 oz bottle) cranberry juice
1 cup pear nectar (can usually find in the drink aisle or where you find mexican food favorites)
Sliced apples and pears for garnish
Optional: ginger-ale or lemon-lime soda to add fizz (the fizz brings the pizzaz!)
Pour the apple juice, orange juice concentrate, cranberry juice, and pear nectar into a large pitcher or punch bowl. Stir to combine. Add ice and fruit slices and soda if using. Enjoy!

I featured you in a recent blog post: http://life8oh2.com/autumn-inspired-cocktails/ !
ReplyDeleteThis looks so yummy, I need to try it ASAP!
What an amazing post on autumn parties. I heard a lot about such parties and it’s my desire to attend this annual fest at least once. Right now we are finding some good Chicago wedding venues for our cousin’s wedding.
ReplyDeleteWOW! My mouth is watering just reading the ingredient list. Sounds fabulous! I love all things apple in the fall too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marsha!
DeleteI'm so excited to find this recipe! Our in-law's 65th wedding anniversary is this week, and we will serve this at the reception we are hosting next Saturday! I wonder if I can trouble you for more specific amounts on the orange juice and cranberry juice. A small OJ Concentrate? And 1/2 of what size bottle of cranberry juice? Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!
ReplyDeleteHey there Laura! How sweet that you will be serving this at the party! The orange juice is just a basic frozen orange juice concentrate. The cranberry juice is the same size as the apple juice (64 oz) and I just use half. Depending on how many people you will be serving, make sure you have extra so you can throw some together because this is well loved by all. We served a similar one at my sisters wedding reception and just kept adding to the punch bowl. I wish your in-laws many more happy years together. If you want to give it a little fizz, add some lemon lime soda or some ginger ale.
DeleteJust to update, this punch was a huge hit! We will use it again! Thanks again for sharing the recipe!
DeleteThank you so much for taking the time out of your day to let me know how it turned out! So glad everyone loved it!!
DeleteIs there anything I can use in place of the pear nectre?
ReplyDeleteHi there Nicole, I have not used anything but the pear nectar but the ingredients are so good, you may not even notice if you decide to leave it out.
DeleteHow neat that you posted about Kauffman's Fruit Farm! I absolutely adore Lancaster county PA! I live in southern NJ, but my husband, kids and I travel out to Lancaster as often as possible. We camp out there during the summers as well. Kauffman's is one of the places we hit every time we are in Lancaster. They have a great selection of bulk items, an online store and their fruit is wonderful! In case you haven't already been, next time you are in the Lancaster area, make sure you stop in at the Bird-In-Hand Bakery and Cafe. It's just down the road a piece from Kauffman's, and they have the most wonderful homemade ice creams, sandwiches and cakes - the vanilla layer cake with raspberry filling is to die for! Bird-in-Hand also has a restaurant and a farmer's market in the vicinity as well - can't miss with either. Think I'm gonna have to mosey back out to Lancaster myself - all this talk about food has me hungry! Will pick up some of that Kauffman's cider while out there, to make this punch. Can you clarify which size OJ is needed? I can get either 6 oz or 12 oz at my local market. My family has an upcoming trip to Massanutten ski resort in Virginia. We will be there with some family and friends, and we all take turns hosting a breakfast and a dinner while we're there. I would love to serve this punch. It looks so pretty and the ingredients sound wonderful! Thank you for the recipe - I love your site!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon, I have visited but it has been many years. I hope to venture back sometime soon. The orange juice is the 12 oz container. Hope you love this punch!
DeleteHi, I found your recipe from a post on Christy Jordan's Southern Plate. I;m thrilled to find your punch recipe. I get tired of having the same punch at every gathering and am always looking to find new ideas. I love your page and wish you much success.
ReplyDeleteHey there Barbara, we are so glad you stopped by. This punch will be served at our sons wedding next month. Hope you enjoy!
DeleteThis is a great recipe! I made it for an adult birthday party and added whipped cream and caramel vodka. I’ll definitely make it again! I had a hard time finding pear juice, so I bought canned pears and puréed them and added that and it was great!
ReplyDeleteI knew this would be amazing as an adult punch. I will be heading to the store to buy some of that vodka to jazz it up. I sure do love that you stopped by and let us know how much you enjoyed it. It surely put a smile on my face.
DeleteI love hearing from you. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment!
