Are you having a party this summer? This Pineapple Rum Punch is THE party punch of summer. It is super easy to whip up and the flavors will have you feeling like you are on a tropical island with just one sip.
This punch actually took me a few tries to get it just right. Each time I made it I enjoyed it so much but I knew it was missing a little something to make it perfect. I first made it at our Easter dinner we hosted this year. It was good but I just knew I could make it better.
The first pitcher I made had some cream of coconut in it. While it was good it just didn't mix fully with the other ingredients and had a weird texture. So I set out to find that something special to give it that coconut flavor without having the texture.
You name it, I tried it. And I have to admit I really did have fun testing this recipe. Maybe just a little too much fun! Its a tough job but someone has to do it right?
It just so happened that perfect ingredient just showed up one day. While we were picking up a few things at the grocery store, there it was. Hawaiian Punch has a White Water Wave Punch. It is coconut pineapple flavored! It was like an ah-ha moment. I was giddy with excitement and couldn't wait to try it.
It turns out, it is exactly what this punch needed. It gave it just the right amount of coconut flavoring it needed. And if you really want to skip out on the rum and make this punch kid friendly, it is still just as good. To make it even more fun, rim the glasses with honey and dip into toasted coconut. Happy Summer!

how much soda did you put in a pitcher
ReplyDeleteHi Mela, It really depends on your pitcher size and how much room you have once all the other ingredients are added. You can also fill cups 2/3 full and top it off with the lemon lime soda if your pitcher is small. It is really to give it some fizz. Hope you enjoy this recipe .
