My Dad was one of those men that could just go in the kitchen, throw a few things together, and blow us all away with how good it was.
He started making these mashed potatoes years ago and we all fell in love. It is an easy and simple recipe that yields such a great side dish for any occasion.
My kids love these mashed potatoes. My son calls these Popa's Potatoes since his Popa made them. When he was younger my parents would call him just to tell him they made his favorite mashed potatoes. He would leave his computer games just to go and get some. They are just that good.
I make these every so often but my Dad's were always the best, he put his love in them and it really showed. So here are the potatoes that we usually have on our holiday table.

All our holidays include Popa's Mashed Potatoes as a side dish.

Do not drain your potatoes, if you think you have too much liquid by all means take a little out. We are gonna mix these right up in the liquid. Add some butter, salt and pepper and mix until creamy.
Still want to make it a little creamy, just take out a little more of the broth and add a little milk. I really hope you get to try these potatoes and enjoy them as much as our family does.
