Salty and sweet the perfect combination. I made these for a Christmas Bazaar I participated in last weekend. My son helped me make them the night before. He loved helping me do these. He is considering taking culinary arts next year. I am trying not to persuade him too much, I want this decision to be his and not mine. He has said since he was little he wanted to be a chef. He also has a love of music and wants to be a singer. It is so hard to believe he is in tenth grade and his future is now in his grasp. I want the best for him no matter what he decides. He has turned into a wonderful young man and I could not be any prouder.
These pretzels are easy to make and make such a great gift. My kids enjoyed what I did not sell of these. Almond bark is the coating on these with sprinkles. You could use any kind of topping on these, the possibilities are endless.

Place almond bark in a microwave container and follow directions on the package. I used 3 -4 cubes and placed in a measuring cup. Its important not to get any liquid in the almond bark. It will not set if it gets in there. I used one coating a time and its important to let the coating cool slightly before you put on the toppings. If its not hard enough and you place heavy sprinkles on there it will run.
I used a plate to catch all the sprinkles, they can make such a mess. This worked great for us. After a while we just grab a handful and just sprinkled from there.
Got this idea from another blog......I can't remember where now but this worked well. That way you don't have a flat side. I stuffed paper towels in the bottom to help hold them.
Served Up With Love
Once hardened you can wrap individually or I like to wrap in three's. These are treat bags I purchased at Walmart in the party supply section and tied with a ribbon.
Simple and oh so good. We will be making some of these to go in some treats we are giving out at Christmas. Now I just have to find more time.
Just a little sneak at what we have been up to.....
The Budweiser Clydesdale's at our towns Christmas Parade. Simply amazing!
My son singing at the Christmas Concert at school. Such a great voice, I want the whole world
to hear it!
Kylee telling Santa she wants everything for Christmas! Gotta love it!
My family would like to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas! In the craziness this week try to take in all the little moments. In those moments you will find true joy and happiness.
May you all have a blessed Christmas!
Chocolate Covered Pretzels Rods
Bag of Pretzel Rods
Almond Bark
Sprinkles or any other topping
Melt almond bark in the microwave according to package directions. Dip pretzel rods in almond bark. Allow excess to drip off and then wait just a bit and add sprinkles. Place in cups or lay on wax paper or cooling racks. Allow to dry and add to treat bag and tie with ribbon. Enjoy.

They're so festive! My folks love these...I'm thinking that I'll have just enough time to get some ready for stocking stuffing.
