Have a grand ole time celebrating the red, white, and blue with these easy Patriotic Cupcakes. They will be the hit at that cookout for sure.
The 4th of July is right around the corner! How did that happen? It seems like once the kids get out of school the summer just starts to go by really fast. These cupcakes are perfect for any of the patriotic holidays during the summer.
Our daughter loves getting in the kitchen and baking cupcakes with me. She is going to be 12 this year so I need to cherish those moments where she actually wants to do something with me. Most of the time she will help me mix them up and then she disappears until the fun part comes of decorating them.
Heart swoon that bright, red batter!
You can almost smell them can't you?
Now comes the fun part, decorating! Super simple and oh so festive!
Is there anything more delicious than cream cheese icing? You can certainly use buttercream if you are not a fan of cream cheese. My extended family would not be happy with me if I served these with cream cheese icing.
