ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ green pepper, diced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt & pepper, to taste

How to cook Crock Pot Sloppy Joes

  1. In a large pan, cook ground beef with onion and green peppers. Cook until no longer pink, drain. Place ground beef into a 5 – 6 quart slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir until combined. Cook on low for 4 – 6 hours. Serve on hamburger buns.

NOTES:

Recipe is easily adaptable to double or triple for larger groups.
