What's for Supper
We've had some warm days, some chilly days, and days that seem to be both within the same day. It is crazy, we start off the day with the heat on and then have to either turn it off or turn on the AC. But everything is in bloom and the grass and trees are green. Before we know it, it will be full blown summer time.
This weeks meal plan is simple and easy. A few family favorites are in the mix along with some amazing recipes from my blogging friends. This weeks What's for Supper Sunday has a little bit of everything in the mix. We are not big breakfast eaters around here but we sure do enjoy eating those beloved breakfast dishes for supper. For some reason it just tastes so much better when you eat it for supper. Am I right? Of course a couple casserole recipes are thrown in along with a crock pot recipe. And we can't forget the dessert! Have a great week!
Last week proved to be very difficult for meal planning for me. My husband decided to pick up strep throat and he so kindly shared it with me!! Honestly, we lived off of canned soup and crackers for days. I am still struggling to get back on my feet but we still have to eat. And the best way we can do that is to meal plan. So on days I still don't feel 100% at least we know what he can pitch in and cook. Since winter decided it needed to make a return after 70 and 80 degree days I found it fitting to add in our favorite soups this week. Plus, we should have plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day or two or if we need to heat for supper one night, we are all covered. I really hope this is the last blast of cold air because I am so ready for warmer days.

Sweet Treats this week:
Here we are at week #4 of What's for Supper Sunday! If you are following along with these meal plans, how are they working out for you? We are having some spring like temps here in Virginia so we are taking advantage this week and using the grill more. It has just been a crazy roller coaster ride with the weather this winter, hasn't it? I am so ready to put all this cold stuff behind us and move on to warmer days.
For this week meal plan I went with simple, easy meals. If we are not grilling, the crock pot will be lending a hand to get supper on the table. Side dishes will vary depending on what we are having that night. We usually do very simple, basic sides if any at all. And of course, we have a couple recipes to tempt our sweet tooth. Let's get to it...

And some sweet treats-

Welcome to another issue of What's for Supper Sunday! We are now into week three and I feel like I am getting my stride with meal planning. It is nice to know what we are eating for supper every night and not having to stress about it. As with most weeks, there are a few crock pot recipes thrown in there. I just love being able to load up the crock pot and go on about my day, don't you? Crock Pot Meatball Subs are one of those dump and go kind of recipes. We usually have leftovers so we will be eating those for lunch throughout the rest of the week. And to change things up a bit, we are having some breakfast for supper. Sausage and Egg Casserole is such a versatile dish. Don't like sausage, replace with bacon. It is always good no matter what is added. The best thing I like about this dish is that its not one I have to put in the fridge overnight before it can be made. It can all be made the day you need it and it goes straight into the oven. I get rave reviews about this one too! So there you have it, its What's for Supper this week.
